The theme for the 3rd annual AMC Conference is ‘Brand Resilience Amidst Economic Uncertainty’ and organisers are encouraging suitable individuals to nominate themselves, or others who they believe can contribute valuable perspectives.

These insights will prove invaluable for fostering constructive discussions aligned with the 2024 conference theme, playing a crucial role in addressing the challenges of the rapidly evolving industry and advancing Africa’s marketing influence on the global stage.

Among the envisaged topics are:

  • Women in Marketing: Is the Glass Ceiling Still There?
  • Localising Global Brands: Tailoring Brand Strategies to Resonate with Culturally Diverse African Markets.
  • Building Marketing Competencies through Education and Training.
  • Blossoming Opportunities: Harnessing the Power of Botanical Tourism Marketing.
  • Intercontinental Trade: Regulatory and Compliance Considerations.

This year’s keynote speaker is Hermawan Kartajaya, founder of the Asia Marketing Federation and co-founder of the World Marketing Forum. He is also a long-time collaborator on multiple books with the legendary Philip Kotler.

He will be sharing his knowledge, expertise and his experiences of working with Kotler – who is still co-authoring marketing books at age 93 – with conference delegates. Kartajaya’s topic for the keynote address will be ‘Reimagining Operational Excellence – Inspirations from Asia’, which draws from his upcoming book collaboration with Kotler and Jacky Mussry, an Indonesian-based marketing executive, academic and author.

The 2024 AMC Conference is being hosted by the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) at the Sarova WhiteSands Beach Resort, Mombasa.
