Juliet is a seasoned, passionate marketing enthusiast with an impressive marketing career spanning over 20 years across countries, cultures, brands, categories and industries. She has honed her expertise in various local and multinational organisations in Africa, Middle East, Turkey and some parts of Asia.
She has a demonstrated history of working in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry with Unilever where she gained her foundation and depth in marketing. She had a Telecommunications stint, then Renewable Energy Silicon Valley Start-Up with d.light and ZOLA Electric based in East Africa. She is currently working with the biggest retailer in Zimbabwe – OK Zimbabwe.
As a fervent advocate for purpose-led and sustainable brands, Juliet is passionate about aligning a brand’s essence with its actions ensuring that its purpose resonates through every facet of existence. She is associated with bold and game-changing award-winning campaigns like the first-ever Gold Loerie Award in Zimbabwe for the Unilever Campaign Sunlight Chiedza.
Juliet has twice won the Marketer of the Year Award (2016, 2017 from Marketers Association of Zimbabwe) The Most Outstanding Marketer of the Year: 2017 from Megafest. She holds a First-Class Bachelor of Business Studies Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe plus many relevant professional courses. She is a board member in a number of organisations. Juliet’s personal purpose is to Build People and Build Brands. She gets energy from seeing people develop & unlock their human potential thus she mentors a number of people across Africa.
Philbert Julai Mdindi is a highly experienced and accomplished leader. A chartered marketer, self-published author and communicator who is passionate about creating positive change in society through persuasive influence.
With over 8 years of experience in public speaking, Philbert has established himself as a sought-after speaker and panellist, having participated in international conferences and delivered numerous public speaking engagements at local forums such as Unthinkable Kenya, Centonomy and the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), EQ Conference among others. As a father, Philbert is committed to passing on his knowledge and skills to the next generation, and he continues to inspire and motivate others through his work and personal life.
Currently, he serves as the Head of Marketing at Nation Media Group. He previously worked with Absa Bank Kenya, Barclays Bank and Safaricom.
Dr. Kin Kariisa is an extraordinary force at the helm of Next Media Services, a conglomerate encompassing NBS TV, Nile Post, Sanyuka TV, Next Radio, Salam TV, Next Communication, Next Productions, and an array of other influential enterprises. His dynamic role as Chief Executive Officer exemplifies his unwavering commitment to shaping media, business, and community landscapes.
With an esteemed academic journey, Dr. Kariisa’s accolades include an Honorary PhD in exemplary community service from the United Graduate College inTexas, an MBA from United States International University in Nairobi, Kenya, a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Huazong University in China, and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University.
Dr. Kariisa pursued PhD research in Computer Security and Identity Management at Security of Systems Group, Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. As a dynamic educator, he has shared his expertise as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security at both Makerere University and Radboud University.
Dr Kin did his PhD research in Computer Security and Identity Management at Security of Systems Group, Radbond University in Nigmegen, Netherlands. He previously served as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and Radbond University in Netherlands.
Dr Kin did his postgraduate courses in Strategic Business Management, Strategic Leadership Communication and Strategies for Leading Successful Change Initiatives at Harvard University, Boston USA.
