In recognition of the global shift towards a world in which marketing creates demand and supply chains meet that demand, the African Marketing Confederation (AMC) and the African Supply Chain Confederation (ASCON) have aligned the deadlines for their awards nominations.

Submissions for these premier pan-African industry honours close on 31 July 2026, with the coveted awards set to be bestowed upon winners towards the end of September.

The shared timeline gives marketing and supply chain professionals, and their agencies, the same window to enter. By having concurrent deadlines, the confederations signal that marketing and supply chain are inseparable engines driving Africa’s economic growth.

Alignment of the awards comes as the associations finalise planning for the upcoming 2026 AMC, Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa), and ASCON Joint Conferences, scheduled for 23 to 25 September 2026 in Livingstone, Zambia.

Bringing together professionals from across the key disciplines of IT, marketing and supply chain, the conferences will provide delegates access to top speakers, hands-on workshops, live demonstrations and high-level networking – fuelling digital innovation and collaboration across Africa during the three-day event.

Realising the promise of AfCFTA

Highlighting the growing focus on marketing innovation and supply chain resilience across Africa ahead of the Zambia summit, AMC President Matongo Matamwandi says marketing and supply chain professionals will play a critical role in realising the promise of the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement.

At the same time, Matamwandi emphasises that the strategic importance of marketing and supply chain management is growing as African brands expand worldwide.

“Our growth in size and influence over the years is a direct reflection of a larger story; that of the unmistakable rise of African brand equity on the global stage,” he states.

Echoing the importance of building globally competitive African brands, Ronald Mlalazi, ASCON President, says effective supply chains are vital to getting African products to consumers across the continent and around the world.

“Elevating the role of supply chain management in Africa is critical for economic development,” he states, arguing that strengthening the profession will help position the continent as a strategic player in global value chains.

The nominations process

Nominations for both the AMC Awards and the ASCON Awards are open to individuals, internal teams and external agencies who have redefined industry benchmarks over the past year.
