Dentsu Kenya, part of the multinational advertising and public relations agency Dentsu, has appointed Rehema Chege as Business Head, Creative.
Chege joins with more than a decade of experience helping brands and businesses navigate growth, transformation and change across Africa.
Having held leadership roles at Ogilvy Africa and Koko Networks, she brings experience across creative strategy, digital transformation, media, content, influencer marketing and client leadership. Her portfolio spans internationally recognised brands such as Coca-Cola, Airtel, Hennessy, WWF and Diageo.
At Ogilvy Africa she was Digital Programme Lead (DigiTribe EABL). The DigiTribe content team oversees digital content strategy that encompasses channel selection and focus, content pillars, editorial governance, and metrics to be applied and aligned with the business’s overall objectives.
At Koko Networks she was Digital Ad Sales Manager, responsible for growing the networks’ profits through attracting new customers to advertise on the business’ cashless Koko fuel (liquid bioethanol) ATMs located in mini stores in the greater Nairobi region while increasing the spend of existing customers.
Chege also had a previous spell at Ogilvy Africa, where she held Account Manager, Account Director and Group Account Director roles.
“Known for challenging convention and bringing together creativity, culture and commercial thinking, Rehema has built a reputation for helping businesses solve real problems, unlock growth and create meaningful impact,” Dentsu says in a press release.
“At a time when brands are facing increasing pressure to move faster, connect more authentically and deliver measurable outcomes, her appointment reflects Dentsu’s continued focus on helping clients navigate complexity and create what comes next.”
Comments Samantha Kipury, CEO of Dentsu Kenya: “The industry doesn’t need more campaigns. It needs better solutions to business problems. That’s what Rehema brings. She’s a builder, a challenger and a leader who understands how to turn creativity into growth.”
