Nyaladzi Moyo appointed Country Director for Danone Southern Africa

He moves up from the role of Commercial Director and brings with him a wealth of local and international sales experience.

Danone Southern Africa has appointed Nyaladzi Moyo as Country Director. In his new role he is responsible for well-known brands such as Nutriday, Ultramel, Yogisip and DanUp. 

 

Moyo joined Danone in 2025 as Commercial Director and has already played a key role in driving sales performance and enhancing execution across the business. 

 

“His appointment signals a continued focus on building a more agile and market-responsive organisation in South Africa, one of Danone’s key growth markets on the continent,” the company says in a press release. 

 

“The appointment forms part of Danone’s broader strategy to reinforce leadership across Africa, enabling more connected decision-making and faster response to evolving consumer needs. 

 

“His appointment signals a continued focus on building a more agile and market-responsive organisation in South Africa, one of Danone’s key growth markets on the continent.” 

 

Various senior sales roles

 

Moyo previously held roles at Beiersdorf Southern Africa and Procter & Gamble. At Beiersdorf he was Sales Director for Southern Africa. During his 12-year tenure at Proctor & Gamble he filled various roles, including Category Sales Director for Haircare in Canada. He has also been Senior Account Executive at the Clicks Group in South Africa. 

 

He holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Nelson Mandela University.
