The Pan African Media Research Organisation (PAMRO) has issued a call for papers for its 26th media research conference taking place in Kigali, Rwanda in mid-September 2026.

Building on last year’s topic of ‘Trust and Truth: The Role of Media Research’, the theme for the 2026 gathering is ‘From Trust and Truth to Sustainable Action’

Taking place at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre on 13-15 September, the conference serves as a platform for businesses and practitioners in the African media landscape. Media owners, marketers, brand managers, research providers and advertising executives will explore cutting-edge research methodologies and consolidate valuable industry data.

“Attendees can look forward to open discussions on industry successes, challenges and learnings,” PAMRO says in a LinkedIn post. “Conference sessions will encompass a variety of formats, including panel discussions and the presentation of papers and outcomes from media audience research activities.”

Invitation to submit papers

If you’re an individual or an institution with an interest in the 2026 theme, PAMRO is inviting you to submit papers for consideration before 30 June. Those selected will be required to present findings from their media audience research activities and/or relevant case studies. Each presentation will be allocated 20 minutes with a 10-minute Q&A session.

PAMRO’s objective as an organisation is to be a forum for the industry in different African countries, and to harmonise research methodologies with the aim of creating a continental media research database.

Only papers sent to Jennifer Daniel, Executive Director, will be accepted. Email her at jdaniel@pamro.org or jdaniel@telmarhelixa.com
