In keeping with previous years, the Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa) annual conference will run concurrently with the marketing conference. This is in recognition of the growing synergies between marketing and ICT. The host for the TICON Africa Conference is the ICT Association of Zambia (ICTAZ).
Other AMC and TICON Africa members who bid for the 2026 conference were Malawi and Botswana.
Zambian delegates are jubilant
The announcement of Zambia’s winning bid was greeted by tumultuous applause and shouts of jubilation from the Zambian contingent, as they made their way to the stage to hold aloft the trophy awarded at each conference to the country that will take on the challenge of hosting the following year’s gathering.
In a subsequent statement posted on social media, the President of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM), Mwewa Besa, said the conference will be held in the town of Livingstone, at Victoria Falls.
“This landmark event will bring together marketing leaders, professionals and stakeholders across the continent to exchange ideas, build networks, and shape the future of marketing in Africa,” he said.
The dates of the 2026 conference have not yet been announced.
