Following a rigorous process, CM(A) status is awarded to top marketing professionals on the continent. It recognises their expertise and professional standing as distinguished African marketing practitioners.
“It has helped me to understand the intricacies of African markets and makes me feel more confident. The CM(A) adds gravitas and puts a solid designation behind my conversations. I highly recommend it to other marketers,” says Kugandrie Govender, a marketing consultant who achieved her Chartered Marketer (Africa) designation in 2024.
Adds Tanya James, another experienced marketer who achieved her status in 2024: “I have learned so much already. Getting a degree is one thing, but going through this process really got my creative juices going. The CM(A) journey was exciting and we received amazing support.”
Highest levels of marketing expertise and experience
Helen McIntee, President of the AMC, says only those delegates who can demonstrate the highest levels of marketing expertise and experience will be awarded the Chartered Marketer (Africa) designation, as it is the pinnacle of the African Marketing Confederation’s education offering to its members.
“This prestigious peer-reviewed designation is awarded to qualifying senior marketers in recognition of their experience and skills, and equips successful candidates to operate effectively in the African continent’s complex and diverse markets,” she explains.
“We believe we have put together a programme of outstanding quality, and academic and professional rigour.
“The CM(A) credential is only awarded to top marketers who prove that they are among the most knowledgeable, highly qualified and accomplished professionals on the continent.”
Applicants must have appropriate academic qualifications and work experience, and sign up to a CM(A) Code of Conduct.
