Ad Dynamo by Aleph, the digital media sales specialist, has appointed Stephen Newton as its Managing Director for Africa.
In his new role, he will prioritise pan-African expansion and assist clients to meet business challenges across the continent.
Ad Dynamo by Aleph is Spotify, Twitter, Snap and Yahoo’s exclusive media buying partner in Africa. Ad Dynamo has long been a proven sales agent for global media platforms on the continent and, in 2021, was acquired by Aleph Holding, a US-based global player with an operation spanning more than 90 markets.

“As both a developing market and a continent with a rapidly growing population, Africa is poised to house not only a sizeable portion of the world’s population but also a sizeable portion of the world’s eligible workforce,” says Newton.
Plan to continue to grow and to break down barriers

Newton has over 25 years of experience leading EMEA businesses across the digital space. He is currently on several advisory boards for startups and mid-sized African companies that work in different parts of the online area.
He is also the Chairperson and co-founder of The Illuminate Africa Group Ltd., a consulting firm that helps companies achieve their African expansion goals.
Previously, Newton has worked as Managing Director of Google South Africa, Vice President and Managing Director of the Ad Exchange for Google-bought DoubleClick EMEA, and Managing Director of Africa for PostivoBGH.
Senior Nigerian-based appointment also announced
As part of its African expansion strategy, Ad Dynamo by Aleph also recently announced the appointment of Nigerian-based Stanislaus Martins as its as its new Regional Director Meta for Africa.
Prior to joining Ad Dynamo by Aleph, Martins held leadership positions at Insight Redefini, Jumia, and most recently at Meta, where he was instrumental in the rolling out of Meta’s Authorized Sales Partnership program in both Nigeria and Ghana.
He is also President of the Association of Digital Marketing Professionals (ADMARP), a body for digital marketing professionals and enthusiasts in Nigeria.
