Our special focus in this issue is on Africa’s Retail Revolution, with articles analysing E-Commerce and particularly the rise in B2B e-commerce platforms, growth and changes in the Mobile Money sector, the evolution of Retail Technology in Africa, and other key Retail Trends.

Our feature on Consumer Attitudes examines how, despite difficult times, consumers are making a conscious decision to choose ‘Joy’ and are also demanding greater levels of Trust from businesses and other organisations.

Potential of Game-Based Marketing in Africa

The article on Game-Based Marketing asks whether the rise of gaming – which some experts say commands greater consumer attention than social media and TV combined – holds great promise for marketers on the continent.

In Africa, where there are frequently many languages and cultures within one country, delivering customer service excellence can be challenging. Our report on Customer Service Management looks at the impact of culture on service delivery outcomes in Nigeria.

We also preview the upcoming 2023 AMC Conference taking place in Uganda, and there’s a round-up of activities being undertaken by the various African Marketing Confederation member countries.

You will find these stories, and much more, in the latest Strategic Marketing for Africa – the voice of African marketing and the official publication of the African Marketing Confederation (AMC). Read it online here. A print edition of the magazine is also available.
