An official unveiling of the partnership was made this week in Casablanca during an event at the upmarket Royal Mansour Casablanca hotel.
“The evening celebrated football and conviviality, bringing together prestigious guests and sports figures,” reports the news website 7 News Morocco. “It was an opportunity for Orange Maroc to reaffirm its dedication to football and strengthen its connection with the passionate Moroccan fanbase.”
Orange Maroc has a long-standing soccer-sponsorship strategy and has been a sponsor of the Confederation of African football (CAF) since 2008.
The brand is a sponsor of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Morocco at the end of 2025 and early 2026. It is also a sponsor of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Morocco.
Active participation in brand campaigns
Reports 7 News Morocco: “With his charisma and deep connection to Morocco, Brahim Diaz represents a powerful symbol for Orange Maroc. His role as an ambassador will go beyond mere representation – he will actively participate in the brand’s campaigns and initiatives aimed at encouraging young talents to pursue football.”
During the Casablanca launch event, the brand and Diaz launched ‘Orange Koora Talents’, a programme dedicated to young football enthusiasts.
Part of this initiative will involve a gala soccer match featuring young talents from across Morocco. It will offer aspiring players an opportunity to meet their idol, interact with him, and draw inspiration from his journey.
A combination of digital and on-the-ground competitions will be held to identify the most talented and passionate young players, who will then have the chance to take part in the event. The programme is open to boys and girls aged 13 to 14.
“Orange Koora Talents is part of a broader initiative to create unique opportunities for young Moroccans and contribute to the development of national football,” the brand says in a press release.
