The Nigerian-based CIG Group has announced the appointment of Adeleye Fabusoro as its new Group Marketing and Corporate Communication Director.
In this role, Fabusoro will spearhead marketing, PR and corporate communication initiatives across a diverse portfolio of brands. These include GAC Motors, Lagride, Wulling, Lontor, and Gree.

In a press release, the conglomerate says he has “an impressive career trajectory” and “brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in various high-profile roles”.
Prior to his appointment at the CIG Group, Fabusoro was the Head of West Africa for CNBC and Forbes Africa, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the regional presence and influence of the brands.
Before joining CNBC and Forbes Africa, he was Head of Development and Production at Dentsu Nigeria. He has also been Chief Operating Officer for Rare Edge Media Limited and Director of Academic Affairs at the Rare Edge Film and Arts Academy.
Collaborated across 18 African nations
“His extensive industry experience is complemented by his impactful work as a UN consultant, where he had the unique opportunity to collaborate across 18 African nations, offering innovative solutions and driving sustainable growth initiatives,” the press release says.
“His earlier career in the banking industry equipped him with a diverse skill set and a profound understanding of business.”
On his LinkedIn profile, Fabusoro states: “When businesses struggle to connect with audiences, it’s not a lack of effort – it’s often a lack of storytelling. And that’s where I step in.”
He holds a doctorate degree in Fine Arts from Prowess University in the US, a postgraduate diploma in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, and a BA(Hons) from the University of Ibadan.
