Itsweng joins Octagon’s African operation in its 25th year as it plans to unveil new strategic initiatives to enhance its regional offering.
Octagon, the creative marketing and sponsorship consulting practice operating in sport and entertainment, has announced the appointment of Seseki Itsweng as Managing Director of Africa. He will be based in Octagon’s Johannesburg office and operate throughout the continent.
As an industry veteran with nearly two decades of experience working across Africa, the agency says Itsweng’s appointment “amplifies [its] continued commitment to innovation, growth and delivering results for clients.

He will collaborate closely with Octagon Africa Chairman, Franco Barocas, and Group Managing Director, Devian Nadasen.
Barocas, who co-founded Octagon Africa in 2000, and Nadasen, who has nearly 20 years of industry expertise across numerous blue-chip clients, have been pivotal in establishing the agency’s reputation for excellence across the continent, says the agency.

Prior to joining Octagon, Itsweng spent nearly a decade as Managing Director for Openfield Marketing, working on campaigns and brand engagement strategies in various African markets. He has also been Business Director for Exp Agency South Africa, an experiential marketing agency.

He previously served as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and Radbond University in Netherlands.
Dr Kin did his postgraduate courses in Strategic Business Management, Strategic Leadership Communication and Strategies for Leading Successful Change Initiatives at Harvard University, Boston USA.
