Diana Springer will be responsible for the strategic positioning and execution of the well-known banking brand.
South Africa’s Standard Bank Group, one of the country’s traditional ‘big five’ banks, has announced the appointment of Diana Springer as its Group Head of Brand and Marketing.
She will be responsible for the strategic positioning of the Standard Bank brand and the execution of the brand and marketing operating model. The appointment is effective from tomorrow (Tuesday, 1 August).

Springer has extensive experience within the marketing and branding sphere, and has worked on a number of top local and international brands, including time in London working on Microsoft and Diageo.
She was head of CRM Strategy at Ogilvy SA and, in 2018, became a founding partner of Black & White, a marketing strategy consultancy within the M&C Saatchi Group. In 2022, Springer was appointed to the M&C Saatchi Group Exco as the Chief Data and Intelligence Officer.
