Experienced marketing executive Charity Winnie Kamusiime assumes the role of President of the Uganda Marketers Society.
The Uganda Marketers Society, one of the member associations of the African Marketing Confederation, has elected its new President and Office Bearers for a two-year term of office.
Charity Winnie Kamusiime assumes the role of President, taking over from David Balikuddembe, who recently became Secretary General of the African Marketing Confederation (AMC).

Other new UMS office bearers are: Caroline Ampaire (Vice President); May Micwemirungi (Secretary General); Viola Mboneko Rusoke (Director, Ethics and Integrity); John Birungi Babirukamu (Director, Thought Leadership); Primrose Kobusingye (Director, Finance); Dear Jeanne (Director, Events); James Asaba (Director, Membership) and Danny Kwizera (Director, Public Relations).
Kamusiime is Head of Marketing at Ecobank Uganda and has also held other roles with Ecobank, including being Group Marketing Manager and Product Marketing Manager.
She holds an MBA from the University of Gloucestershire, a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Marketing from the CIM, and a B.Business Administration & Management from Uganda Martyrs University.
An experienced marketing manager
On her LinkedIn profile, Kamusiime describes herself as an “experienced marketing manager with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications, advertising and financial services industry”.
In a statement posted on social media following her election as President of the UMS, she said she was “deeply honoured and humbled”.
“I want to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the outgoing leadership team led by Mr. David Balikuddembe, whose tireless efforts have laid a strong foundation upon which we will build our future successes. I am grateful for your service, and I look forward to your continued guidance and support.
“As we embark on this journey, our collective strength lies in our unity and commitment to our society’s mission and values.
“Together, we will write the next chapter as we impact the marketing landscape for the success of the brands and businesses we serve. I am confident that it will be a chapter filled with remarkable achievement, growth, and #stardom for all of us,” she said.
