Jury Panel impressed by the scale and calibre of the entries, as this year’s award winners are announced on final night in Accra.

This year’s award winners were selected by an independent judging panel from more than 60 entries received from member countries.
Helen McIntee-Carlisle, AMC President and co-founder, says the judges were impressed by the scale and calibre of the entries.
“With nominations from all over the continent, the judges faced a tough task in selecting the final winners. We are pleased to have identified the leading marketing stars from throughout Africa,” she states.
“In keeping with the theme of the conference – ‘Thriving in Africa’s Evolving Markets: Trust, Trends, and Technology’ – the winners demonstrated that they were at the nexus of all these aspects of marketing.”
Recognising exceptional work
Addressing assembled guests at the awards ceremony, the Secretary General of the AMC, David Balikuddembe, said the awards night is about recognising and rewarding exceptional work.
“Some of the work that [the entrants] have done has touched lives, brought money to their businesses and grown entire economies. Everyone who submitted their work to be judged for these awards is a winner tonight.
“This is the fourth AMC conference, but the third edition of our awards. It started in Uganda with just two categories and a handful of submissions. It has now grown to many categories and a significant number of entries.”
A high standard of entries
In his address, the Jury President of the awards judging panel, Emuron Alemu, also noted that that there were more entries than for the 2024 awards, and that the overall standard had proved to be far higher than before.
“We had better quality of submissions, better case studies, better case videos, better stories being told. And, for the first time, we had an automated judging system – an online platform that we used that gave us full transparency and made it easier to track results,” he said.
