2024 Zambia Institute of Marketing Annual Conference and Awards Gala Dinner takes place next week at Victoria Falls.
Members of the Zambia Institute of Marketing, one of the founder members of the African Marketing Confederation, are gearing up for ZIM’s 27th Annual Conference and Awards Gala Dinner, which takes place on 22-24 May.

The venue for this year’s highlight of the ZIM calendar is the prestigious Avani Victoria Falls Resort in Livingstone.
For 2024, the conference theme is ‘Elevate-Innovate-Thrive: Driving Prosperity, Growth, and Resilience through Strategic Insights’, while the theme for much-anticipated awards dinner is ‘The Great Gatsby’.
Thebe Ikalafeng, an African branding authority and leading advocate for a brand-led African renaissance, has been confirmed as the conference’s keynote speaker.
Definitive barometer of brands on the continent
Formerly in brand management at Colgate Palmolive in New York, and later chief marketing officer for Nike for Africa, he subsequently established his own brand consultancy and, among other things, created the ‘Brand Africa 100: Africa’s Best Brands’ initiative which is widely referenced as the definitive barometer of brands on the continent.
Also in the speaker lineup is Hussam Baday, Managing Director of Airtel Networks Zambia and formerly the company’s Chief Commercial Officer and also Marketing Director.
Baday has a rich background in successful commercial strategies, business development, and proper execution that turned around commercial performance. He also serves on the CMO Council – Advisory Board Africa.

Dr Kin did his postgraduate courses in Strategic Business Management, Strategic Leadership Communication and Strategies for Leading Successful Change Initiatives at Harvard University, Boston USA.
