She becomes the only African on the board, which claims to be the global industry’s highest decision-making body.
Maistry is a partner and Client Services Director at Razor PR, the strategic communications, reputation and public relations agency of the M&C Saatchi Group South Africa.
She describes herself as marketing and communications expert with more than 22 years of experience in all aspects of corporate communications, reputation management, digital marketing, branding, content creation, podcasting, media relations, stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, and issues and crisis management.
Prior to joining Razor PR, she headed up her own communications agency for four years. She has also held an in-house marketing and communications role at Aurecon, a global engineering and infrastructure advisory company, and worked at Magna Carta Reputation Management Consultants as Business Unit Head: Digital & Strategic Advisory Services.
The Global Professional Board of the PRCA serves as a fundamental forum, providing strategic guidance to the PRCA while acting as a think-tank for the industry.
It is dedicated to consulting with the sector’s most senior practitioners on key issues, offering insightful commentary and developing best-practice guidance for PR and communications professionals globally.
Maistry has been appointed as one of a roster of new members to the board.
“The PR and Communications Board plays a key role in shaping the future of our industry,” said PRCA CEO, James Hewes.
“I am confident that we will continue to address the challenges our industry faces and seize new opportunities to advance our profession. This group exemplifies the diversity, creativity, and strategic thinking that define the best of PR and communications, and I look forward to the impactful contributions they will make.”
