It is scheduled to take place from 3-5 September at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi, near the southern end of Lake Malawi.

With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience spanning Africa, the Middle East, North America and Asia-Pacific, Hébert brings a global perspective to the country’s premier marketing gathering.

Throughout his career, he has led organisational transformation, market expansion and sustained business growth for some of the telecommunications industry’s most recognised brands.

Varied career across Africa and other parts of the world

Prior to joining TNM, he held executive leadership positions with Orange (Egypt), Ooredoo (Tunisia), Djezzy (Algeria), Comium (Côte d’Ivoire), Digicel Papua (New Guinea), Liquid Intelligent Technologies (DRC), and Sudatel Group, a key digital infrastructure developer in Africa and the Middle East.

Hébert’s career also includes serving as a senior consultant with the global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney (USA), where he advised leading telecommunications companies – among them Motorola, Telstra, NTT, PT Inti and SK Telecom – on strategy and operational excellence.

“As keynote speaker, [he] will unpack the conference theme by drawing on decades of practical leadership experience in highly competitive international markets,” the Institute of Marketing in Malawi says in a statement.

“His presentation will explore how organisations can embrace innovation, lead ethically, and build sustainable businesses while remaining competitive in an increasingly dynamic global economy.

“Professionals from the corporate sector, government, development organisations, SMEs, academia and the wider business community are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most accomplished marketing and business leaders.”
