Pan African Media Research Organisation unveils details of its 2025 conference and names new leadership team.
The Pan African Media Research Organisation (Pamro) is holding its 2025 conference in Nairobi, Kenya on 14-16 September.
For this year’s gathering, the theme is ‘Trust and Truth: The role of Media Research’, with the organisers noting that it is fitting, given the context of a world in which definitions of what constitutes ‘media’ and ‘truth’ are being questioned every day.

Key topics being covered include media advancements in Africa, consumer behaviour trends, global media challenges, and innovative research methodologies. The venue is the Sankara Nairobi Hotel.
“This milestone gathering will see research professionals from across Africa converging to discuss the role of media research in informing the decisions that have the potential to shape the future of Africa’s 1.5-billion people,” Pamro says.
The event serves as a platform for media owners, marketers, brand managers and advertising executives to explore the latest research methodologies and consolidate valuable industry data.
Pamro’s aim is to provide a forum for the media research industry and its related industries across Africa, and to harmonise media research methodologies with the aim of creating a continental media research database.
New leadership team elected
Meanwhile, Pamro recently named Oscar Tshifure as its new President. He is a public affairs and communications executive with 20 years of experience in government relations, public relations, stakeholder engagement and market research across sub-Saharan Africa.
“He has worked with leading research firms such as Plus 94 Research and currently consults for Quest Research, shaping industry trends through insights,” Pamro says in a statement.
“His expertise also extends to public affairs, public relations and reputation management, having held leadership roles at Ogilvy PR, Vuma Reputation Management, and Razor PR, where he has advised clients on strategic communication, crisis management, media relations, and regulatory engagement.”
Pamro’s new Vice President is Celia Collins, who is the Senior Vice President Media of Publicis Groupe Media Africa.
During her time in media industry, she has worked as a media buyer, planner, strategist, a business unit director and headed up central operations including investment, trading, programmatic and ad operations.
