On-the-Go stores will extend the brand and be located on TotalEnergies service station forecourts to cater to motorists and busy consumers.
Java House, the East African coffee and casual dining food chain, has launched a new concept called Java House On-the-Go onto the Kenyan market.
Located on service station forecourts, the concept caters to motorists and busy individuals seeking a quick, high-quality dining experience, the company says.

It adds that “the strategic move aligns with Java’s commitment to offering convenient dining options to Nairobi residents and commuters”.
The first outlet opened this week at the TotalEnergies service station in Muthaiga, regarded as one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in the country.
According to the publication Food Business Africa, the collaboration between Java and TotalEnergies signifies a strategic partnership between two prominent brands, leveraging their respective strengths to enhance the overall customer experience.
Extensive network of service stations
TotalEnergies is recognised for its extensive network of service stations, while Java House is renowned for its premium dining options.
Speaking at the opening of the new outlet, Priscilla Gathungu, CEO of Java House, said it represented an exciting chapter in the company’s expansion journey.
“We are dedicated to providing high-quality food and beverages that cater to the dynamic lifestyles of our customers,” she stated.
Said Christophe Wittmann, TotalEnergies Kenya Retail & Card Commercial Manager: “This collaboration allows us to offer our customers a delightful dining experience while they refuel their vehicles. It underscores our commitment to providing added value to our customers beyond fuelling.”
The new format that will sit within the TotalEnergies forecourt convenience store, Bonjour.
Java House is one of the leading coffee brands in Africa and has outlets in 14 cities across three countries in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda). It has also birthed two sister brands – Planet Yogurt, a healthy, tasty and fun frozen yogurt store, and 360 Degrees Pizza, a casual dining restaurant.
