Hloni Mohope is to move from her KFC South Africa role to become Chief Marketing Officer for the brand in Central and Eastern Europe.
Hloni Mohope, who has been serving as Marketing Director for KFC South Africa, is on her way to a new adventure in Europe, where she will be taking up a senior marketing role.
She has been appointed as the fast-food brand’s new Chief Marketing Officer for the Central and Eastern Europe region.

This follows a successful 10-year tenure with the company in SA, which she joined in 2013 as a Senior Brand Manager for KFC Africa. In 2022, she was promoted to Marketing Director overseeing Brand and Retail, and shortly thereafter the company’s Brand & Purpose strategy as well.
“During this time, Hloni has worked across multiple marketing disciplines, delivering exceptional strategic thinking and driving outstanding execution,” KFC says.
“Her ability to think critically and navigate complex marketing landscapes has been instrumental in propelling KFC Africa’s growth and success.
Leading brand in the region
“Her efforts helped KFC South Africa solidify its position as a leading brand in the region, while also aligning its purpose with the evolving needs and expectations of consumers.”
Mohope has also played a pivotal role in fostering diversity and inclusion within KFC Africa. As a founding member of the Women on the Move programme, she spearheaded the company’s first-ever female leadership development initiative.
According to KFC, this programme has empowered and supported the growth of women leaders within the organisation, breaking down barriers and promoting gender equality.
Earlier this month, the brand announced the opening of a new outlet in Bucharest, Romania which became its 1,000 store in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.
“KFC CEE has the ambition to be the leading quick-service restaurant in the region, with an average of 100 stores slated to open annually,” a media statement says.
Worldwide, there are more than 29,000 KFC restaurants in almost 150 and territories.
