New appointee brings over two decades of experience in advertising, marketing and communications to new OOH media role.
Out-of-home media company, JCDecaux South Africa, has announced the appointment of Archie Masebe as Sales Director, effective from 4 June 2024.
In his new OOH role, Masebe will report to Lunga Majija, Managing Director of JCDecaux South Africa.

His most recent position was as a strategic advisor to the country’s Minister of Public Service and Administration, Noxolo Kiviet, where he led cross-functional teams and implanted processes and systems aimed at improving efficiencies and enhancing economic development.
Before his strategic advisory role, Masebe held several management roles with the McCann Group, a well-known advertising and marketing services company.
These include positions as Managing Director, Regional Business Leader, and Business Unit Head, where he oversaw strategy and communication campaigns for a range of local and global brands.
Served as Senior Brand and Campaign Manager at telco
Prior to his tenure with McCann, Masebe served as Senior Brand and Campaign Manager at telecoms company Cell C, where he was instrumental in the launch of campaigns aimed at boosting brand visibility, customer engagement and market share.
His journey in the corporate world began in marketing and communication roles for Standard Bank Corporate, Young & Rubicam and Toyota Motor Company.
“In his new role, Masebe will focus on supporting our commercial business needs by enhancing customer relations and stakeholder engagement. His strategic approach will be instrumental in commercialising our data offerings, delivering greater value to our clients,” JCDecaux says in a media statement.
“This strategic appointment underscores our commitment to driving growth in the outdoor advertising industry and reinforces JCDecaux South Africa’s commitment to investing in top-calibre talent to accelerate business expansion.”
