In her new role, she will act as a strategic intermediary between the radio station and Mediamark, the sales house representing audio and digital media brands.
According to Jacaranda FM, Nhlapo will work closely with both teams to drive commercial solutions for advertisers, unlock new business opportunities, and develop integrated commercial strategies that align client objectives with the station’s content, audience and brand objectives.
She joins the radio station from Blue Label Telecoms, where she was Senior Product Marketing Manager. Blue Label Telecoms specialises in the electronic distribution of virtual products, services, and value-added services – with a particular focus on prepaid products.
Experience at Metro FM and Gagasi FM
Prior to that, Nhlapo was Marketing Manager at Metro FM, a national radio station operated by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). She was also previously with Gagasi FM, a regional commercial radio station, where she was Brand Sales Manager.
“Returning to the world of broadcasting feels like a homecoming,” says Nhlapo. “Radio is my first love. To now re-enter the space in such a transformative role, at a station as dynamic and beloved as Jacaranda FM, is both humbling and thrilling.
“I’m passionate about using the power of media to build meaningful brand connections, and I look forward to partnering with clients and agencies to create high-impact campaigns that drive real business results.”
Comments Vuyani Dombo, Managing Director at Jacaranda FM: “Nthabeleng is an exceptional talent – a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a natural ability to lead and inspire.”
“She understands the evolving needs of brands and agencies, and brings the kind of forward-thinking leadership that will help us deepen client relationships, unlock effective commercial solutions and further our business growth trajectory.”
