Afoani leaves role as Head of Sales and Marketing – Africa at the IFFCO Group to become Senior Director for Coca-Cola Uplift – Africa.
Experienced pan-African marketer Francis Afoani has been appointed as Senior Director for Coca-Cola Uplift – Africa at The Coca-Cola Company.
He joins Coca-Cola from IFFCO, a multinational group with well-known brands such as London Dairy, Tiffany, Noor, Rahma, Al Baker, Hayat and Savannah. He has been based in Accra, Ghana, and spent almost four years with IFFCO in the roles of Head of Marketing – Africa and Head of Sales and Marketing – Africa.
Prior to that, Afoani was Marketing Director at Upfield, a plant-based food company, and Category Manager for Home Care at Unilever in Ghana.

Coca-Cola Uplift is a series of campaigns focused on connecting the brand to the feeling of refreshment, joy, and a pick-me-up – using creative and engaging marketing strategies to reach their target audiences.
“In his new role, Afoani will head the Uplift pillar and shape the future of the company’s brands across the Africa Operating Unit,” reports the ‘Brand Communicator’ marketing news website.
On his LinkedIn page, Afoani describes himself as a “Successful marketing professional with a wealth of transferable skills gained in the FMCG sector”, adding that he has “worked across the African continent, especially in West Africa, with a deep understanding of the consumer”.
He holds a BS in Business Computing and Information Systems from the University of Wales, and an MBA in Marketing Management from the University of Ghana.
