Africa’s best marketers and campaigns to be lauded at AMC Awards

‘Momentous occasion’ for graduates as they celebrate their hard work and academic accomplishments, says Registrar.
The IMM Graduate School, which is linked to African Marketing Confederation founder member the IMM Institute South Africa, hosted the first of its annual graduation ceremonies on Friday (8 March 2024).

It announced its Gauteng-based graduates from a list of 1,076 graduates from across the nation for the 2023 academic year.
Among the new graduates, 74 students achieved their qualifications Cum Laude, showcasing exceptional dedication and academic excellence, the IMM notes in a media statement.
“This is a momentous occasion for our graduates as they celebrate their hard work and academic accomplishments,” says Johan van Zyl, Registrar at the IMM Graduate School. “We are immensely proud of their achievements and look forward to witnessing their continued success as they embark on their professional journeys.”
New academic regalia unveiled
In addition to celebrating the academic achievements of its students, the IMM Graduate School unveiled its newly redesigned academic regalia. This updated attire was showcased for the first time at the Gauteng graduation ceremony, adding a touch of elegance and modernity to the celebratory event.
“Our graduation ceremony serves as a culmination of years of dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence. It is a moment for graduates to reflect on their journey, celebrate their accomplishments, and look ahead to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead,” adds Van Zyl.
“We congratulate each and every graduate on their remarkable achievements and wish them all the best as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. We are confident that they will continue to make us proud and contribute positively to their respective fields.”
The IMM Institute South Africa is one of the founding members of the African Marketing Confederation. The others are: Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana; National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria; Marketers Association of Zimbabwe; Zambia Institute of Marketing; Marketing Society of Kenya; Institute of Marketing in Malawi; Institute of Marketing and Management, Mauritius; and L’Association Marocaine de Marketing et de la Communication (Morocco).

Dr. Kariisa pursued PhD research in Computer Security and Identity Management at Security of Systems Group, Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. As a dynamic educator, he has shared his expertise as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security at both Makerere University and Radboud University.
Dr Kin did his PhD research in Computer Security and Identity Management at Security of Systems Group, Radbond University in Nigmegen, Netherlands. He previously served as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and Radbond University in Netherlands.
Dr Kin did his postgraduate courses in Strategic Business Management, Strategic Leadership Communication and Strategies for Leading Successful Change Initiatives at Harvard University, Boston USA.
