Gala event aims to recognise excellence and highlight the fundamental role of marketing to achieving business success in Nigeria.
The Advertisers Association of Nigeria, (known as ADVAN), is calling for entries for the 2022 Marketing Excellence Awards scheduled to take place in Lagos on 20 November. This will be the 11th presentation of the awards.
Entries opened at the end of August and close on 31 October, according to the CEO of ADVAN, Ediri Ose-Ediale. Winners will be announced in a ceremony at the at the Muson Centre Onikan Lagos.

In a media statement, Ose-Ediale said this year’s event promises to highlight the fundamental role of marketing to achieving business success, while at the same time celebrating the teams and individuals behind the most successful marketing initiatives in the country.
This year, ADVAN will host several new categories in an effort to ensure that all stakeholders and critical elements in the marketing ecosystem are recognised and celebrated.
An experienced judging panel
Entries will be judged by a panel that includes global CMOs and senior marketing professionals within Nigeria.
The premier category and overall winner is The Brand of the Year. Last year’s category winner was Hypo Homecare Products, which specialises in hygiene and sanitation solutions.
Other ADVAN categories for 2022 include: Campaign of the Year; Innovation of the Year; Public Relations/Corporate Communications Campaign of the Year; Experiential Campaign of the Year; Indigenous Brand of the Year; and Legacy Brand of the Year.
The Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria is the umbrella association for all advertisers (corporate organisations that engage in major advertising) in Nigeria. It was established in 1992 as National Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria and in 1994 was renamed Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN).
