The recent National Exceptional Marketing Awards 2025, hosted by the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) in Harare recently, proved once again why they are the most anticipated night on Zimbabwe’s marketing calendar.

Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (TIMB) emerged as the Best Marketing-Oriented Agribusiness, showing how robust marketing can drive growth in even the most traditional sectors.
In transport, CAG took the top spot, with Tap & Go and Inter Africa following – a testament to how strategic marketing fuels better mobility solutions.
Health was in focus as Cimas won Best Marketing-Oriented Health Company, recognised for campaigns that made health solutions more accessible and relatable.
ZUVA powered through the competition to win Best Marketing-Oriented Energy Company, while Davies Events demonstrated why they are the go-to name in events planning.
In the age of social influence, ‘Madam Boss’ (Tarisai Chikocho) proved her dominance as Best Marketing-Oriented Influencer, with KVG and Nigel ‘Tha Slick Pastor’ rounding off the category.

Adverts and campaigns formed some of the night’s most celebrated moments.
Delta’s Chibuku Huruyadzo Pahushamwari took home Best TV Advert, charming audiences with a message of friendship and unity.
Econet Wireless’ iJoy Afta Joy Promotion scooped Best TV Infomercial and Best Radio Advert, showing the power of consistent multi-platform messaging.
Ecocash’s Just Ecocash It billboard campaign made waves, earning Best Outdoor Advert and proving outdoor media is still very much alive.
In digital, Delta Sparkling Beverages’ Share a Coke Campaign dominated, winning Best social media and Digital Marketing Campaign as well as Best 360-Degree Campaign – proving that personalisation and engagement are key to customer loyalty.
Innovation and customer experience take centre stage
Marketing today is about experience, and the winners made that clear.
Baker’s Inn delivered excellence with Best Product-Based Customer Experience, while CBZ Bank led the way in service experience, setting the bar for customer engagement.

Tinotenda Mukwambo of Ecocash claimed Top Marketing Manager of the Year, showing outstanding delivery in a fast-paced digital economy.
Prudence Chingosho of Econet Wireless walked away with Best Brand Manager, and Kissmore Murandu of Delta Corporation won Best PR Practitioner, reinforcing the link between great storytelling and brand trust.
The future looks bright, with Tawanda Gwasira of Nyaradzo Group named Young Achiever and Upcoming Marketer of the Year, a nod to the next generation of marketing innovators.

This year’s winners highlighted how marketing can drive economic growth by connecting brands with consumers, inspire communities through campaigns that speak to culture and identity, and leverage data and innovation to create relevant and timely solutions.
As MAZ President Aman Jyoti reminded attendees: “Great marketing doesn’t just sell products, it tells stories that resonate, inspires change, and builds legacies for generations to come.”
