Felicite Nson comes to the role with an extensive marketing background gained in various markets such as Cameroon, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC, part of the Diageo multi-national alcoholic beverage company, has appointed former senior marketer, Felicite Nson, as its new Managing Director.
Her appointment became effective at the end of September and she brings a wealth of experience and a successful track record in various global organisations.

Nson joined Diageo in 2014 as the Marketing Director for Guinness Cameroon, and has since held several senior leadership positions in both commercial and marketing functions across single and multi-market regions in Africa.
Among them are Commercial Director in the Ethiopian market, and Sales and Marketing Director for Cameroon. Roles prior to joining Diageo include being Coca-Cola’s Head of Marketing for the West Africa Region, Coca-Cola’s Head of Marketing for Horn, Islands and Mid-Africa Region, and MTN’s Head of Consumer Marketing for Cameroon.
Commenting on the appointment, the Board Chairman of Guinness Ghana, Dr Felix Addo, said: “We are delighted to welcome on board Felicite to the Guinness Ghana family.”
A sound strategy and the right people
On her part, Nson noted: “We are operating in a time of intense disruption, but we do have a sound business strategy and the right people. I am optimistic about what the future holds and our ability to create incremental value for all our key stakeholders.”
Established in 1960, Guinness Ghana Breweries is the only total beverage business listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE). It operates two brewing facilities – at Achimota and Kaasev – and sources raw material from 11 out the 16 regions in Ghana.
It employs more than 500 full-time staff and over 600 contractors/third party employees.
Recently Guinness Ghana was adjudged West Africa’s Gender Mainstreaming Champion for 2023 at the Accenture Gender Mainstreaming Awards, held in Accra.
The company was also adjudged winner of the Women Empowerment in the Workplace, and Women Empowerment in the Community awards.

Dr Kin did his postgraduate courses in Strategic Business Management, Strategic Leadership Communication and Strategies for Leading Successful Change Initiatives at Harvard University, Boston USA.
