Annual CMO Breakfast in Kampala will hear insights from senior HR executive, Gloria Byamugisha, and a panel of business leaders.
Uganda’s marketers are gearing up for the annual CMO Breakfast, which this year will explore strategies for advancing from senior marketing positions into top executive and board roles that shape business leadership.

The CMO breakfast is an annual thought leadership forum that brings together over 120 C-level marketers and related professionals to share learnings, key trends and ideas shaping the profession.
As always, the event is being organised by the Uganda Marketers Society, a member of the African Marketing Confederation. It takes place this Friday (25 April) at the Kampala Serena Hotel under the theme ‘The Leadership Leap; Positioning Yourself for the Boardroom’.
For 2025, the keynote speaker is Gloria Byamugisha, currently the Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Dangote Cement She is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
She is a seasoned multi-industry generalist at C-level with experience in change management, turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, creating and supporting winning teams, and employer branding.
Byamugisha is known as an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience. This includes roles as Group HR Director at Equity Group, Regional HR Head at Ecobank Nigeria and EAC, and Group HR Director at Bharti Airtel.
She will be joined in a panel discussion by Hassan Saleh, Managing Director of Multichoice Uganda, and Goretti Masadde, CEO of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services.
The session is being moderated by Remmie Kisakye, CEO of Majestic Brands and an accomplished marketing leader in her own right. MC for the occasion is Peter Igaga, Managing Director of Grindstone Ltd.

He previously served as a lecturer of e-Government and Information Security at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and Radbond University in Netherlands.
Dr Kin did his postgraduate courses in Strategic Business Management, Strategic Leadership Communication and Strategies for Leading Successful Change Initiatives at Harvard University, Boston USA.
